Insurance Basic AD&D coverage is available for employees. Business Travel Accident Insurance and several levels of Voluntary AD&D coverage are also available.

Disability Insurance Program

Two disability plans—short-term disability and long-term disability—are provided. Both plans provide financial protection for you and your family if you are unable to work because of a medical condition, including pregnancy.

Wellness Program

Flexible Leave Programs and Flexible Work Schedule Options

Our leave programs, flexible work schedules, and remote and hybrid work options provide employees the opportunity to achieve optimum work-life balance.

Flexible Workweek schedules

  • 9/80: Optional work program providing the choice of having every other Friday off at most work locations. This flexible work program allows you to work 80 hours over 9 days and have an additional day off during a two-week pay period.
  • 4/10: Work 40 hours over 4 days with a variable day off
  • Twist on Traditional: Work 40 hours over 5 days with a variable schedule - for example, Friday afternoons off or variable start/end times 

SAIC provides comprehensive leave and other paid time off for bereavement, jury duty and holidays.

  • Paid time off including holidays to support work-life balance
  • Family leave - Employees are given 240 hours of paid parental leave for a birth, adoption, to provide foster care for a child placement, or to care for a close relative with a serious health condition
  • The option to buy and sell paid time off once per year
