Description
SAIC has an immediate requirement to fill a critical Senior Software Engineer role supporting our customer Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake, CA.
The candidate experience must include experience in developing real-time software for defense-related systems. The candidate will demonstrate proficiency in programming in C, C++, C#, FORTRAN, Pascal and Ada programming languages with operating systems that include Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux. The candidate will complete actions to include design, develop, document, test and debug application software and integrate emerging technology into system level software architectures. Additionally, the candidate will conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development and deployment of solutions to reported software problems.
The candidate will be familiar with waterfall and agile development concepts; desired experience in software development and maintenance using Agile/Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) approach to development lifecycle support and services. Including Rapid Development, Continuous Security, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Monitoring.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's in IT related field and twelve (12) years or more experience in developing real-time software for defense related systems; Masters and ten (10) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Required experience:
- Minimum 10 year's experience with C, C++, C# and FORTRAN programming languages.
- Experience with operating systems that include Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux.
- Familiar with waterfall and agile technologies.
Desired:
- Experience with PASCAL and ADA programming languages.
- Experience and/or familiarity with TCTS system operations.
- Experience with Software Graphic Interfaces.
Clearance requirement:
- Candidate must have and maintain Secret clearance per contract requirements.
