Join a winning team! SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program is leveraging best practices in system engineering, via Digital Engineering processes and technology, and in Agile software development, via DevSecOps development.

We are seeking a Cyber-Protection Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering services to a DoD customer. We are the Systems Integrator for a new capability, and are responsible for delivering architectural analysis, and systems engineering solutions that will determine system capabilities, vulnerabilities and protection methods. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS Clearance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Work with the mission assurance and Information Assurance team providing cyber systems engineering services and recommendations
• Working across multiple stakeholders to identify and define future space capability needs
• Frequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and mission partner stakeholders
• Analyzing and executing technical solutions in support of high value asset indications and warning, resiliency, defense, and cyber protection
• Identifying required system analysis for the definition, allocation, assessment, and prediction of system performance requirements and capabilities
• Identifying key architecture and system level trades
• Developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinating them across the affected organizations
• Developing enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements
• Developing project-level schedule content for analysis and assessment
• Preparing briefings for senior decision makers

Qualifications

• Current TS clearance, TS/SCI preferred

• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• Experience with complex space/ground and cyber protection systems
• Experience with large acquisition systems engineering efforts, methods, and processes
• Experience with requirements development and definition activities to include stakeholder engagement and customer needs elicitation
• Understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline
• Working knowledge of the configuration management process and the Engineering Review Board process
• Experience with DOORs requirements database management/repository
• Experience in Cameo modeling
• Prior US military and/or IC customer experience
