Description
SAIC’s Innovation Factory Teams has an opening for a Digital Engineer 1 to to help design and build one-off prototype products for customer demonstrations, internal process development, and toolchain evaluation. The types of projects vary based on the needs of specific customer groups within the Federal Government. Our group works with smart product applications from all areas of the Federal Government, including DoD vehicles, battlefront virtual reality experiences, NASA launch and product studies, cloud compute and DevOps toolchain integrations. We are looking for smart products design engineers to augment our SAIC Digital Engineering innovation group.
Candidates must demonstrate experience and knowledge across electrical, software, and mechanical domains and basic proficiency in professional tools used within those fields. Examples of design tools we use are: Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, Altium, OrCAD, Matlab/Simulink, C/C++ development with the GNU toolchain, MPLAB, CodeWarrior, and Python. This is a Remote position and can be worked anywhere in the U.S.
Qualifications
Required Educations/Skills
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Development experience in smart products / smart systems
Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
