SAIC is seeking experienced and security-cleared personnel to support the Air Force's Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer Weapon System team to install, configure and maintain an Atlassian suite of tools including Jira Cloud, Confluence and BitBucket.  This JIRA SME will be based out of Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.
  • Coordinate changes to computer databases.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Provide configuration and administrative support for Jira Cloud, Confluence, and BitBucket.
  • Design, implement, and maintain custom workflows, screens, dashboards, fields, permission schemes, post functions, etc., across multiple Jira projects.
  • Build filters, custom dashboards, and reports as requested.
  • Coordinate and respond to support requests related to Atlassian products.
  • Install, configure, test, and manage add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions in Jira Cloud.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Atlassian products.
  • Implement DoD security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II Certification
  • 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 6+ years of related experience DBA experience
  • 3+ years of Jira administration experience.
  • Atlassian certified Jira Administrator preferred.
  • Experience administering and deploying open source and commercial off the shelf (COTS) server equipment

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Active US DoD Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
  • Graduate-level degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field
  • Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
