SAIC has a career opportunity for an experienced scientists, engineers, and analysts. We are actively staffing a newly awarded, 5 year contract based in Fort Meade, MD. This multi-year contract needs you to fill highly skilled mathematicians, data scientists, engineers, collection managers and analysts. As a Network Evaluator, you will evaluate operational or developmental networks and systems of U.S. government and military customers for weaknesses and susceptibility to network attack.

Responsibilities:

• Test security features for vulnerabilities using ordinary user environments with cognizance of effects caused to network through the process to uncover vulnerabilities
• Create network reconstruction visuals and reports to advise customers on mitigations and countermeasures including configuration of commercial products or hardware or software additions
• Produce evaluation reports and brief customers on results

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information technology, or related field (i.e. General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security)
  • AA and 10 years of experience or,
  • BA/BS and 8 years of experience or,
  • MA/MS and 6 years of experience or,
  • PhD and 4 years of experience
• Relevant experience must include working in a security domain, programming, systems architecture, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, malware analysis, protocol analysis, network analysis, software analysis, debugging, and/or using network security intrusion or computer diagnostic software utilities.
• In-depth knowledge of current operating environments (Microsoft, Linux, & OS X)

Desired Experience:

• One of the following certifications: Microsoft Networking, Computer Network Administrator, CISSP, CISA, or ISSEP CISSP, CEH, Sec+, Net+, GIAC GREM and/or CREA certification
