IT Project Manager

SAIC is seeking a project manager for IT to oversee a team of web developers and systems administrators supporting a DOD program to modernize a website and database portal. This position is primarily based in the national capital region.  The project manager will operate as part of an integrated SAIC/government team.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

The project manager will:

• Manage website modernization project to ensure compliance with government requirements, and adherence to schedule and scope
• Develop and manage a project schedule and work plan
• Set and track project milestones and timelines
• Oversees the team’s day to day workflow and assign duties and responsibilities to staff
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Create and maintain project status reports
• Provide project updates on a scheduled basis to government stakeholders
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
• Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Active TS clearance.
Security+ or comparable IT certification. 
Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience. 

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
