Description
SAIC has a need for a Software Engineer supporting Army Aviation initiatives in Huntsville, AL.
The successful candidate will implement Agile, Model Based Engineering (MBE) processes for the development of a modular open system approach (MOSA) and software to produce products in line with Open Systems Architecture approaches. The engineer will work on a team supporting efforts in system design, requirements development and functional allocation of hardware, software, operator and other segments and system components; support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing, and perform analysis of integration results to assess system impacts. Additionally, the successful candidate will support customer requirements in airworthiness goals and objectives.
- Work in an Agile, Model Based Engineering (MBE) environment for the development of a modular open system approach (MOSA) and software to produce aviation solutions.
- Support trade studies to evaluate potential COTS hardware for use as product solutions.
- Support requirements analysis and development.
- Perform software modelling (development) tasks.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's and five (5) years experience; four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an Interim Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Required Skills:
- Experience in modeling avionics and real time systems.
- Ability to work in a C++ environment using interactive techniques.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with aviation cockpits is desired
- Experience working in an Agile environment desired
- Experience in avionics and real time systems desired
- Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), Hardware Open System Technology (HOST), and/or Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) experience desired.
