Description
SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program is leveraging best practices in system engineering, via Digital Engineering processes and technology, and in Agile software development, via DevSecOps development.
We are seeking a Cyber Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support our system engineering and integration activities that define and integrate major space systems and associated ground elements from concept into an operational enterprise. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS Clearance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities.
Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum.
Recommend additional security requirements and safeguards as needed.
Support cyber metrics development, maintenance and reporting procedures.
Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., ICD 503, NISPOM and NIST- RMF), and provide recommendations on process tailoring.
Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.
Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
Periodically conduct reviews of various system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Participate with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Contribute to development of new principles and concepts.
Recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
