SAIC has a funded need for a Space Intelligence Analyst to join the National Security Customer Group (NSCG).  NSCG provides specialized program management, engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA.

The client supports the cutting-edge programs in national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.

Duties may include contributions to intelligence products; coordination of team analysis in trade-off studies related to operational issues; response to ad hoc inquiries with quick turnarounds; liaison with Government customers to explain ever evolving technologies related to mission life-cycles.  All projects work closely with the supervisor/lead in small teams of Government and SETA (Systems Engineer and Technical Advisor) personnel.  Specific duties and responsibilities are at the manager’s discretion.

The Intelligence Analyst may be responsible for the following: 

  • Perform all-source intelligence analysis in support of a Government Program Office focused on Space Domain Awareness (SDA). 
  • Work effectively in a team driven environment 
  • Interact with a diverse gov't and SETA team to improve understanding of how space technologies support the customer's mission objectives
  • Work side-by-side with intelligence cohorts consisting of SETA, Government, and military professionals to answer time sensitive intelligence driven inquiries
  • Contribute to weekly intelligence reports to include briefing senior level customer personnel when called upon
  • Collaborate with external mission partners to collectively perform all source intelligence analysis of mission critical threats
  • Work with fellow SETA staff to organize quarterly community of interest panels
  • Support scenario development for partnering modeling and simulation experts
  • Develop project schedules and participate in virtual TEMs to reach requirement consensus and capture strategic capabilities for customers
  • Communicate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure milestones are progressing well and addressing requirements
  • Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience in a related field or commensurate domain experience; OR Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; OR PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly (Scattered Castles)
  • 3+ years of experience preparing analysis product for the Intelligence Community
  • Domain knowledge in Ground Systems, Space Development Programs, or Mission Operations programs
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Aptitude for on-site SETA work alongside the government customer
  • Effective team engagement, interpersonal communications, writing, and briefing skills
