JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services in support of our National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) customer in Chantilly, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the risk issue and opportunity R/I/O process as part of the risk management team for an operations office of engineering
- Interface with the various site level Risk Management boards, OIB and EIB(MCM), NRO MB
- Support the mission basing process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide an assessment early on in the acquisition lifecycle to document the requirements needed to support the mission.
- Validate staffing estimates, document O&M considerations, consider SCA, budget constraints
- Interface with a Technical Planning team, architecture steering group, other strategic forums tied to new acquisitions
- Develop assessments and briefings to a variety of audiences, must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Direct and current experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
- Knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture
- Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations and maintenance, decommission
- Experience with requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture and CONOPS development
- Polished communicator, technical topics readily understood by all stakeholders. Strong documentation skills, a superior technical writer
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project
Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly is required
