Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator. This is support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cybersecurity mission to ensure HHS can actively protect the vital health information with which it is entrusted, respond to existing and emerging cybersecurity threats, and continue to enhance the program to ensure HHS has the capability and capacity to respond to new and emerging requirements, technologies and threats.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Install, operate, and maintain virtual computing environment, Windows servers, MS SQL database, storage, and backup system, active directory (AD), group policies (GPO), file servers, print servers, web servers, SMTP relay servers,
  • Install, operate, and maintain data networks to include virtual and physical ethernet switches, DNS, DHCP
  • Secure system configuration to appropriate government computer security standard (i.e. Organization SOP, NIST, and/or DISA STIG).
  • Work on deployable IT systems that communicate over satellite
  • Integrate patches, and maintenance releases into current build scripts and documents
  • Assist developing security patches (Windows and Red Hat Linux for Enterprise)
  • Scripting automated enclave builds (Powershell and Ansible)
  • Support of fielded systems
  • Support test events for newly built systems
  • Supporting Cybersecurity applications
  • Supporting Cybersecurity systems

Qualifications

  • Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Must have the adequate knowledge and skills to learn and perform the described job.

  • Certification Requirement: Industry standard cybersecurity certification, e.g. Security+ or similar is highly preferred. 

  • Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
