SAIC has a new opportunity for a Systems Engineer interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to work on a program supporting multiple exciting, fast-paced projects. This position will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the research and development R&D Intelligence Community (IC) customer in these areas of concentration: remote sensing technology development, Automated Target Recognition (ATR) algorithm development, AI/ML algorithm and logic development, and Application Programming Interface (API) development. Selected personnel will provide subject matter expertise and oversight wot a wide range of complex and technically challenging work.

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide subject matter expert support to the IC customer for the creation of AI/ML concepts, designs, architectures, and interfaces for deployment into space systems
• Work as a Systems Engineer as part of a world-class SETA team
• Research AI/ML concepts and architectures for integration into future architectures
• Technical and programmatic support through the entire project life cycle includeing concept development, system definition, acquisition planning, source selection, system design, development, integration and test, system delivery, and deployment.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to refine requirements and system trades
• Review projects for high risk areas and recommend mitigation approaches
• Provide technical insight into AI/ML algorithm development
• Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with poly
• Minimum of bachelors in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) and three (3) years of experience, but open to all levels of experience
• More than one (1) year experience in AI/ML
• Interest in developing skills in AI/ML application
• Relevant years of AI/ML experience can be substituted for a degree
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities with Application Programming Interface (API) development
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make assessments
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to collaborate with SETA team members, contractors, and customers
• Experience with MS Office products

Desired Qualifications

Masters and three (3) years or more experience

• Knowledge of data processing techniques and algorithm development
• Knowledge in remote sensing
• Knowledge for software development practices for DoD or IC systems
