Description

The US Air Force is procuring a critical and complex Space and Ground system to meet operational and tactical collection needs not currently met with airborne and surface deployed sensors.  This program emphasizes rapid schedule and complex interfaces.  The system design involves schedule automation, challenging collection and processing timelines, and ad-hoc tasking.  The specified system is unique compared with traditional, overhead remote sensing programs.  SAIC is the Systems Integrator for this complex program.


We are looking for creative talent with familiarity in ground systems including mission planning, mission processing, telemetry, tracking and control, ground terminals and operations centers to fill our Ground Segment Liaison Manager position. This role is located in Aurora, CO and requires a TS clearance minimum.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Represent the GS PMO from a programmatic and risk management perspective at the Ground Segment developer's facility
  • Liaise with GS developer's team to assure alignment of the GS PMO priorities in support of System Integration milestones 
  • Participate in systems integration planning and events
  • Perform a diverse set of tasks associated with communication assurance and risk management of GS developer's statement of work in support of the SI's program milestones
  • Work closely with the Chantilly VA Systems Integration team to drive program success.

 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and 9 years or more experience; Masters and 5 years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
 
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current TS clearance, TS/SCI preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering science discipline related technical field and 14 years additional or a master's degree and 12 years, 12 years or 20 experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience supporting ground systems development, integration, or test activities/events
  • Experience participating in or leading Agile/SAFe events with software development contractors 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Scaled Agile Framework SAFe Agilist (SA) or Program Consultant (SPC) 5.0+

Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
