SAIC is seeking a Onsite Principal Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force (USSF) in developing and deploying next-generation and advanced capability space systems as part of the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP) program executive office. This position is in-situ, located at the facilities where the systems are developed, integrated, and tested.
Position is available in either Dulles, Virginia or El Segundo, California.

SDA&CP develops national security deterrence capabilities to provide continued, sustainable use of space by countering threats and aggression and, when necessary, to prevail in a multi-domain conflict that extends to space.
SDA&CP leads the world with capabilities to rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute, and predict both potential and real threats to national, allied, and commercial space systems. SDA&CP delivers capabilities to provide perpetual and prolific Space Domain Awareness to enable decisive action in the Space domain, as well as unrivaled offensive and defensive counterspace capabilities required to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with subject matter experts in the design, development, manufacturing, fabrication, integration, test, and evaluation of critical SDA&CP weapon systems
Provide systems engineering, acquisition, and project management support to USSF Government leadership to help ensure successful program execution
Decompose complex technical data into actionable information for Government decision makers
Provide technical and acquisition support to Government and contractor milestone reviews to assess progress, issues, and requirements traceability
Perform and oversee concept of operations development, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architecture development, validation and verification, systems integration, system & operational performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration analysis
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Provide leadership advice on: acquisition strategies for next-generation systems; program execution issues and recommendations; strategic messaging to key operational and acquisition government, industry, and media stakeholders
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
14+ years of related experience in areas including technical program management, systems engineering, and integration and test of space systems
Active Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 and have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI for Special Programs. Must be willing to consent to a Poly
