Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Analyst to support the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering & Integration Directorate (S3I) in support of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and Electronic Data Manager (EDM) Post Production Software Support (PPSS) sustainment located on Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, AL). 

The EFB and EDM are both lightweight, portable, tablet-type devices designed to support the United States Army aviator with flight planning and situational awareness.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to support the delivery of high quality products in an efficient and effective manner.  The candidate will work with engineers from various disciplines to ensure all quality processes are followed.  Tasks will include QC audits, document reviews, limited code reviews (C++), and testing support/verification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Task Lead to keep tasks on track with an acceptable level of quality
  • Works with team members to understand the project deliverables and work products
  • Proactively seeks to improve the quality of all deliverable and work products
  • Develops and maintains the projects Quality Plan
  • Participates in documentation and code peer-reviews
  • Verifies peer review findings were corrected in accordance with standards
  • Support and/or witnesses the execution of system testing and acceptance testing
  • Identify noncompliance issues and monitor the corrective action plan to completion
  • Provide schedule status on quality activities
  • Coordinates and conducts scheduled and unscheduled technical audits
  • Performs analysis on quality data to recommend process and quality improvements
  • Monitor Projects to ensure appropriate reviews were complete prior to release delivery
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and quality work products

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience; (4) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with hardware/software integration
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation to continually learn and improve
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with IBM Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)

Clearance Requirement:

  • U.S. Citizen with an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start date.  Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
