SAIC’s Software Developer will collaborate with potential users throughout the organization to ascertain and document what data processing shortfalls and what data processing and visualization desires exist. Once that information is documented, the developer will evaluate the current data processing system performance and visualization tools to determine how the system performance and tools can be modified to resolve their shortfalls and meet any user desires for new capability. If new tools are necessary, the developer will study what tools are on the market and have the ability to deliver the capabilities to eliminate the unresolved shortfalls and meet user desires. This will be presented for delivery to leadership that delineates the advantages and disadvantages of the different system performance and tool options to ensure the information is obtained to set priorities and decide on what actions to take. The Software Developer will then work with the appropriate personnel and teams within the organization to implement any changes that will be made. This collaboration effort will include help with software development, security, testing, integration, and training, as well as any procurement assistance needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Computer Science
  • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following software development activities:
    • Development of web applications
    • Adding new features, optimizing, scaling, or improving stability and performance of SharePoint sites
    • Using data visualization
    • Demonstrated experience with data ETL.
    • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office products such as MS Excel.
    • Identifying and validating requirements for Tableau
    • Implementing database technologies
    • Integration of data and systems
    • Identifying technology gaps in current capabilities and processes
    • Taking projects into production and supporting ongoing releases such as major releases, minor release, and emergency fix releases
• Desired:
  • Utilizing various data sources such as MySQL, Oracle, or Splunk
  • Working with programing languages such as Python
  • Employing information security best practices and implementation
  • Certifications: SharePoint Administrator and/or SharePoint Application Developer
