SAIC is seeking experienced and security-cleared personnel to support the Air Force's Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer Weapon System team, to support radio voice/communications engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, and assemble. Responsibilities include, but not limited to processing electromagnetic spectrum frequency requests, collaborating with Network Manager with regards to RF network engineering, satelite communications, and communications network operations support as well as assist in the design of tactical radio and mission command system (Nett Warrior, JBC-P) network and program radios. Cndidates will lead the design, modification, and installation actions of the adhoc RF network infrastructure. Must be able to troubleshoot radio networks to diagnose and repair sustemand equipment issues ensuring reliable voice and data transport. Candidates will be expected to perform quality control procedures in accordance with equipment-provider technical manuals to ensure that all equipment operates within the prescribed specifications and testing guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • 8+ years' experience working with military radio and mission command networks. 
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or higher level clearance if required by the customer (i.e. Top Secret)

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance 
  • Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
