Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Chief Agilist with an active Secret Clearance to support the Air Force's Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer Weapon System team.  The Chief Agilist shall be familiar with Agile Scrum, SAFe implementations and Program Increment Planning. The successful candidate will have the charisma and leadership abilities to guide teams in the following of processes and capturing valuable metrics.
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Efficiently remove obstacles and impediments, ensuring that features are delivered on time. he candidate will help remove obstacles and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement to create value for the customer.
  • Possessing and exhibiting effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders internal and external to the organization
  • Defining discrete systems with processes to link together complex systems and components.
  • Analyzing transition planning, intelligence formation requirements.
  • Assisting with and leading development of integration and migration plans/schedules.
  • Supporting business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.


  • Minimum of nine (9+) years of experience as a Scrum Master, product owner, and/or IT analyst (Agile Scrum, SAFe) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT management, or a related IT field; or seven (7+) years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Minimum of four (4+) years of experience with widely accepted Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Kanban board planning poker
  • Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience with re-architecting/re-hosting (lift and shift) migration of applications to cloud-native architecture
  • Minimum of two (2+) years of experience with DevOps implementation
  • Minimum of two (2+) years of experience with microservices implementation experience
  • Active US DoD Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
  • Graduate-level degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field
  • Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
  • Secret or higher level clearance
