Job Description


SAIC is seeking experienced and security-cleared Program Analyst and Scheduler to support the Air Force's Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer Weapon System team to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives, developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
  • Developing schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Establishing a program organization that effectively addresses Government requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations
  • Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program performance objectives
  • Measuring and reporting program performance to the Government
  • Delivering presentations to Government leadership and other program stakeholders
  • Aiding in management of the program and subordinate baselines
  • Managing Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)
  • Adhering to all internal Government processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
  • Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
  • Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization


  • Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in the aerospace/defense industry supporting U.S. government contracts or equivalent work experience in government, military, or other industries with a Bachelor’s Degree or four (4) years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
  • Proven ability to manage a project team daily and communicate effectively with segment leadership regarding status, awareness, and performance escalations
  • Management of projects to specified milestones and established schedules
  • Ability to resolve disputes and negotiate with positive outcome while maintaining good relationships within the organization, specifically between peers and management
  • Competency in standard Microsoft Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.
  • Graduate-level degree in Business or Project Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret.
