SAIC is looking for a Policy Analyst with a Secret Clearance to support a dynamic program in Arlington (Rosslyn), VA.
Individual works at SAIC site (and some remote work) in support of a Department of Defense (DOD) Federal Advisory Committee providing analytical and administrative support. Required ability to travel to DOD installations and facilities to attend meetings and work on classified systems, with routine trips to the Pentagon. The candidate will assist with coordinating practical aspects of meetings, analytical reporting, and draft Principal-level correspondence and communications.
Nature of work actively engages issues, actions, and initiatives concerning, or relating to, the management, research, and development of national security concern, specifically in the science and technology sectors. Particular emphasis includes topics of interest to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
Research and analysis, development, and coordination of reports, preparation and review of documents, correspondence with senior-level DOD and other USG officials.
Provides meeting support such as hosting unclassified and classified meetings at SAIC facilities or in the Pentagon, drafting meeting minutes, researching and developing subject matter sources (both unclassified and classified), etc.
Preparing meetings with agenda development, notetaking, and correspondence, troubleshooting issues that may arise, works with security/IT experts for unclassified virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and secure video teleconferencing.
Able to make frequent trips to Pentagon to utilize classified systems and attend and host meetings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree required (preferably in a national security-related field)
Knowledge of defense and national security issues and topics, especially those important to the Department of Defense.
Collaboration and team player
Experience with hosting virtual teleconferences.
Proficiency with Excel, Power Point and MS Word.
Must be also able to work at customer site on occasion in support of senior management or executives with little supervision (not duty station, but for hours/days in support).
Active Secret clearance required and preferred TS/SCI clearance
Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
