SAIC is looking for a Integrated Master Scheduler-Technical Writer to join our team in Stafford,VA.

This is a HYBRID position with regular visits to the SAIC location so must live in the Stafford, VA or North Charleston, SC area.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Candidate will develop, monitor, manage, and update project schedules to comply with the project’s Statement of Work (SOW) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with the Schedule Management Plan (SMP). Works directly with Project Officers, System Engineers, Competency Leads, and Vendors to gather data to ensure accuracy of the schedules.  All project schedules will be updated and included in the overall Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).  The position requires daily communication with team members and external stakeholders.  Will be required to attend discussions relating to Cybersecurity, Logistics, Testing, Engineering, and Configuration Management to ensure understanding of all capabilities that make up the project scope and schedule. 

Candidate will be required to provide schedule reports and briefs to be presented at Project Status Reviews, Schedule Review Meetings, and In Progress Reviews with Team and Leadership.  Provide ad hoc MS Project training and consultation to various stakeholders to ensure project schedules are developed and updated correctly.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience with logically linking tasks, resources, estimates, and budgets to allow critical path management analysis. Understand the individual task dependencies. Assess schedule risks, risk impacts, and provide input to mitigation steps.

 Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively both written and orally, have strong technical writing skills; be technically proficient with Microsoft (MS) Project, be a detail oriented, well organized, self-starter, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and capable of performing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.  Must be able to interface with stakeholders and team members at all levels.

Candidate may also be responsible for collecting and organizing information required for preparation of technical documents, training materials, guides, and reports. They will provide technical edits to project documentation, leveraging strong writing, editing, and communication skills to analyze and present complex information in a format that is easy to read and understand. 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors from an accredited college/university in business, project management, or other related fieldand six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience 

REQUIRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / CERTS:

  • Proficient with MS Project
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing IMS with MS Project
  • Strong analytical and collaborative skills
  • Ability to integrate multiple tier schedules into one IMS
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, etc.)
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Must be a strong team player and be able to work well with diverse teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Certification
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Microsoft Certification
  • Experience supporting Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC, the United States Marine Corps (USMC), or the United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM).

Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
