SAIC is looking for a mid-level engineer to support the development, evaluation, and testing of munition systems for the United States Air Force. Specifically, it involves the development of real-time simulations and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) test software for the purposes of testing Weapon Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) systems that are brought into the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). The successful applicant will work to develop new methods and procedures for testing different hardware components and algorithms that make up munitions in order to determine the feasibility of the WOSA standard being developed. The applicant will be expected to lead a team of engineers and will document processes, procedures, test results, and report these to their program manager as well as external entities.
