JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Telecommunications Requirements Coordinator to track and oversee the acquisition activities of a Government Program Management Office (GPMO).  The successful candidate will perform an array of program and project management functions pertaining to the collection, coordination, and management of terrestrial telecommunications requirements, and other duties, on behalf of a Federal Government customer.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

On the Job Training will be provided in the customer’s specific knowledge domain, but the successful candidate must be able to:

  • Coordinate and track terrestrial telecommunications requirements through their lifecycle (definition, order, delivery, and disposition)
  • Track and revalidate commercial leases nearing expiration to determine if the circuit is still required
  • Coordinate procurement of a replacement circuits in time to migrate traffic and terminate current lease without customer impact
  • Track transport projects and requirements status to provide updates for integration into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Identify, document, and track tasks and actions assigned to the terrestrial transport program office
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to capture and track near and long-term transport requirements
  • Provide workflow status, pending vendor circuit deliveries and requirement delivery time metrics reporting to transport GPMO
  • Provide GPMO support and representation at multiple boards and working groups
  • Support Service Level Agreement (SLA), Service Level Objective (SLO), and other metrics development to facilitate operational support of external customer circuits
  • Proactively coordinate, research, and evaluate customer proposed needs
  • Facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with mission customers
  • Work multiple concurrent efforts with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills to facilitate clear and concise delivery statuses on multiple, concurrent activities
  • Demonstrate a working level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Demonstrate a working experience with Configuration Management practices for document control

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelors in a STEM related field and five (5) years or more experience; Masters in a STEM related field and three (3) years or more experience; * significant experiencemay be considered  lieu of a degree
  • PMP and/or Agile certification is a plus, but not required
  • Good multitasking skills with the ability to work multiple efforts concurrently with shifting priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and maintain awareness of multiple efforts concurrently
  • Good oral and written communications skills to facilitate clear and concise delivery of technical solutions/status on multiple concurrent activities
  • Familiarity with the Track Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) process a plus
  • Working level knowledge of ITIL Service Management and JIRA a plus

  •  TS/SCI with Polygraph
