Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Detailed knowledge and experience of initialization and operations to include pre-launch planning and execution, post-launch commissioning, mission anomaly support
Thorough understanding of the MOD Tier 1/2 mission life cycle requirements and Teir 1/2 functions.
Strong understanding of ground planning and scheduling components.
Strong understanding of space vehicle command and control.
Effective at communicating complex problems at the leadership level, strong written and communication skills needed to deliver the message.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Aerospace Engineering or other technical Degree: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
10+ years experience in space systems operations supporting government customers
Desired knowledge/skills:
Experience with ground enterprise testing
Systems Engineering experience to include support to requirements specification, sell-off, evaluation, and closure, risk assessment, conops development
Experience supporting contract definition, scope evaluation, and contractor statement-of-work day to day execution.
Ability to support definition of mission metrics gathering and plotting using disparate sources across the enterprise.
Detailed understanding of M2C2 Mission Architecture Interfaces (User Interfaces/External Interfaces/Internal Interfaces)
Detailed understanding of M2C2 Command and Telemetry Component (CTC) Interfaces and Design
Ability to use Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Ability to use Scripting languages (python, perl, bash...)
Understanding of Basic Linux, Advanced Linux is highly desirable
