SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Configuration Management Software (CMSW) Specialist to join our program to provide robust data gathering, dissemination and management using industry best practices and support the customer’s mission through data discovery and sharing of new insights using existing and emerging technologies. The CMSW Specialist supports the execution of software Configuration and Data Management (CDM) activities pertaining to the tracking and management of software and other assets and engineering services in support of the program. The CMSW Specialist will work closely with other technical SMEs and functional teams to understand use cases and requirements to explore data from various sources, then leverage appropriate tools and resources to make accurate data available to users, and modify it to enable insight extraction to achieve desired customer deliverables.

Primary duties may include:

• Apply the concepts, policies, and procedures for overseeing the functional and physical characteristics of equipment and software
• Responsible for complying with established procedures to track, control, and maintain the program product baseline changes associated with initial submittal, authorization, and implementation to ensure timely incorporation.
• Work directly with engineering and test staff to assemble information and compile accurate data for inclusion in the software Design Change Requests (DCR); maintains documentation and tracks progress through site implementation.
• Maintain and updates the DCR database as necessary to ensure Engineering department input
• Submit data needed for the Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) as required
• Support the maintenance of baselines; incorporates new software-related documentation and locates/discards replaced or rescinded documentation
• Conduct Software Configuration Audits (SCA); incorporates approved changes into the configuration item identification and technical documentation as the pertain to software
• Perform SCAs on the CM-owned classified media
• Responsible for updating, restoring, and backing up training systems to the government‑approved baseline
• Work with various mission stakeholders, communicating system features and concepts to other users and developers, and interacting with program management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field and 9 or more years of experience, or Master’s degree and 7 or more years of experience. May substitute 4 years or more for Bachelor’s degree
• Active Top Secret or DOE Q clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI
• DoD 8570.1 baseline certification
• Minimum of one year experience in configuration and data management
• Experience with integrated logistics preferred
• Must be able to interpret data and produce objective and useful insights
• Proficient with MS Office tools
• Experience in database design, development, and administration, preferably with SQL
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Military Standards procedures
• ACAS experience
• SolarWinds Kiwi log server
• Data gathering automation experience
