SAIC has a contingent position available for motivated and experienced individual to work as Metrics and Data Analyst, assisting the Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology's support to Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Innovation Team (INVNT).  Qualified candidates are primarily responsible for consistently monitoring the metrics and measures delivered by the CBP INVNT team by ensuring that the programs are adhering to internal quality assurance policies and procedures, as well as requirements set forth by external monitoring agencies.

This hybrid position will require 2-3 days in office in Washington D.C. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains production/business data reporting systems and databases
  • Develops metrics at the request of management to analyze impact on key program strategies
  • Development and execution of overall INVNT metrics and measures strategy, including assisting with the implementation of tools, controls, operational processes, and procedures to ensure the consistency and quality of team project data
  • Analyze and interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings, tracks and monitors overall quality, performance, and compliance measures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
  • Able to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Local to Washington D.C. or surrounding areas.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, accountable, and able to work independently and within a team structure.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines and produce quality results with attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform statistical analysis of aggregate data.
  • Ability to track, analyze, and compile data and metrics to identify trends, monitor performance and produce appropriate reports.
  • Ability to develop concise, organized, well-written reports.
  • Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative statistical analysis of information gathered as a part of internal and external audits.
  • Ability to assist in planning, monitoring, and evaluating all INVNT programs.
  • Must have computer skills and know how to perform tasks utilizing Microsoft Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and/or MS Access.
  • Proficient in Excel, including data power query tables and formatting, conditional formatting, and pivot tables and pivot reporting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Highly Desired:  CBP Suitability, Previous experience with CBP/INVNT

Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
