We are looking for candidates passionate about craftsmanship, teamwork, and delivering user capability to join SAIC supporting the Air Force weather community on the Technology Application Development & Sustainment (TADS) contract. The SAIC TADS team is seeking a detail oriented System Administrator to serve as the Software Asset Manager, to manage software license and entitlements throughout the 557th Weather Wing.

The Software Asset Manager/Licensing Administrator will provide subject matter expertise, support the annual procurement and license renewal cycle, will support license management as the organization transitions from manual/Excel/Jira tracking to more automated/ServiceNow, perform queries on systems to determine licensing and serial numbers in use, generate reports on software in use within the enterprise within an empowered, cross-functional team. The license manager will need to generally understand how IT software and hardware is licensed (i.e. per node, per CPU, per user, lines of code, volume of data, service, etc.), and work independently and with the team to identify or verify entitlements in use.

  • Provide licensing reporting
  • May interact directly with vendors on license agreements
  • Manage thousands of licenses for Enterprise level systems
  • Work with SMEs regarding licensing requirements
  • Understand and coordinate license impact for hardware and software changes
  • Interact with senior level customers in person and via email
  • Ability to obtain, maintain and document licenses and licensed users
  • Ability to work with vendors on license requests
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree

Requirements:

  • Verbal/Written Communications

  • Windows Administration
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, CSSLP, or equivalent
