SAIC is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Principal Java Developer to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career.
The candidate will participate in the system architecture design, systems engineering, development, integration testing and validation, and all aspects of the software life-cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a browser-based application implemented using Java and backend web services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement JEE software applications in Tomcat\WebSphere Application Server\WebLogic\JBoss or related JEE server
- Use modern software engineering IDEs including Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc. for design, development, and testing the software
- Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand and document requirements in JIRA, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
- Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology
Qualifications
Required Experience
- BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline ( 4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- 9 years experience in IT
- 8+ years in Java
- 4+ years with weblogic
- Java Micro Service Architecture frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Spring boot micro services
- Spring framework in general
- Spring Security
- Spring data (JDBC, R2DBC)
- Spring Sleuth
- Spring framework in general
- Hibernat,Angular, JMS
- HTML\Javascript\CSS
- SQL, JDBC
- Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques
- Scalable Web Applications
- High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment
Target salary range: $165,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
