SAIC is currently seeking motivated and energetic JAVA Developer Intern to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC. Our goal is to award contingent offer letters to those that are interested in working for SAIC upon graduation and support efforts to get your clearance processed during that time. 

The Java Developer will participate in the system architecture design, systems engineering, development, integration testing and validation, and all aspects of the software life-cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a browser based application implemented using Java and backend web services. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing Java code as dictated by project requirement.

• Ability to work at the detailed level and not lose site of the big picture
• Be a self-starter, self-motivated, and self-directed

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must have completed your junior year in college (minimum 3.5 GPA preferred)
• Currently studying in one of the following focus areas: Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology Management, Business degree programs

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if offered a post-graduation, permanent opportunity after completion of the internship.
• Agency requires citizenship to work on contract
• Ability to perform duties in a telework capacity with some on-site (Kingstowne, VA) visits for mission needs.

 

Target salary range: $35,001 - $45,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
