Description
As a Junior Security Engineer, you provide security services support for a large enterprise network of close to 140 sites. You will be part of the Security Team where you will respond and resolve incidents and service request based on contractual SLRs. You will be responsible for clear and concise communication to our clients and colleagues. Working closely with the Sr. Security Engineers you will review new technologies and standards and assist with the development of SOP's, runbooks and other Operational resources for the security team.
This Role Performs:
- Manage ticketing queues to ensure incidents and service requests are handled in a timely manner
- Ensure tickets are updated regularly and are always in the correct state
- Review and completion of firewall requests (IDS/IPS, NATs / Routes / Rules)
- Management of all network equipment for operational requirements
- Create and update network diagrams; update CMDB and network monitoring and management tools for new and updated equipment
- Participate in the On-Call rotation which provides support 24X7.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Experience with Cisco Systems network security, and datacenter products
- Firewall and Network fundamentals
- VPN (SSL and Site to Site) technologies
- Load Balancer technology
Desired Qualifications
- Cisco trained or certified
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering or related field experience on network & cyber security.
