SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Bedford, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems. Position is in direct support of the tasking received from JXV Engineers at NSWC Crane and SAIC engineer and will provide engineering support and integration for the design, development, production, test, and sustainment of Tactical Air Control Party (TACP).  Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use.  This position supports the Air Force Maneuver and Engagement Branch and the candidate needs to have good hands-on, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.  Candidate will receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met. Be able to effectively communicate. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.  Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the programs/projects.
  • Must have the knowledge of circuit and transformer design and proficient working knowledge of Electrical test equipment
  • Be proficient at reading and developing engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of all technical documentation, specifications, standards, procedures, technical/engineering reference books, tests, and publications.
  • Be proficient at reading and developing engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. 
  • Have the knowledge of circuit and transformer design and proficient working knowledge of Electrical test equipment (Impedance analyzer, O-Scope, Partial Discharge equipment, and programming a basic controllers).
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
