SAIC is looking for an experienced, post-command U.S. Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer to fill a Key position in San Diego facilitating advanced, high-end training for the senior leadership of carrier strike groups and other naval forces in maritime warfare.  You will lead a small team of experts to support training and war games in all aspects of Strike Warfare, to include Maritime Command and Control of Air Operations (MC2AO), carrier and amphibious flight operations planning and execution, airspace planning, TACAIR employment, integration with joint and coalition air forces, maritime fires planning and coordination, and associated planning systems, processes, and tools. The place of performance is at Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGP), with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas.  Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop advanced war game scenarios to support training in Strike Warfare and MC2AO for Navy warfare commanders and staffs
• Facilitate war game execution and accomplishment of training objectives by managing strike warfare scenario aspects, role-playing and coordinating TACAIR elements as required, and  responding to training audience actions as needed to manage scenario play
• Facilitate training audience planning efforts in MC2AO aspects of war game scenarios and be prepared to provide academic briefs and other instruction
• Support training in maritime fires doctrine, weapons, tactics, processes and C2 systems, to include JADOCS
• Support training in joint air planning processes and systems, to include TBMCS and associated systems
• Liaison with Navy and Joint centers of excellence, and provide SME support to program in latest USN doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures for Strike Warfare and MC2AO

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree and 25 years' Naval Warfare SME experience in Naval Strike Warfare and MC2AO. 
• Expertise in the planning, implementation and execution of advanced, high-level maritime warfare tactics, direction and employment of units, and coordination requirements between warfare commanders, subordinate units, and higher headquarters.
• Minimum security clearance requirement: Interim Top Secret. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Examples of the level of experience required are someone who has been a Warfare Commander, Chief of Staff or Operations Officer for a Strike Group or a Task Force or equivalent, or had extensive command and/or operations experience within a carrier strike group or task group
• Experience translating Strike Group/Task Group pre-deployment training objectives and Naval Task Areas into a comprehensive, coherent war game scenario
• Experience managing and directing complex, large-scale training exercises for carrier and expeditionary strike groups
• Experience with the U.S. Navy pre-deployment training program
• Experience with U.S. Navy Fleet Synthetic Training
