Description

Individual will serve as a member of the SAIC governance team supporting Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Emergency Communications Division (ECD) organization. The role will provide technical writing and editing, administrative support, and analytical support to the Program managers (PM).  Primary responsibilities include assisting one or more PMs by:
 

  1. Support the hiring and onboarding of new government team members:  Activities include but are not limited to:
    • Drafting Position Descriptions (PD)
    • Track all sub-division billets as they move through the hiring process and report status as requested 
    • Perform timely follow up with assignees to ensure each hiring action is well monitored and statuses kept current
    • Maintain a repository of information for each separate billet with things like Billet, series, grade, certifications, clearance level, etc.
    • Maintain one or more organization charts for sub-division showing vacancies and hiring status
    • Provide input to annual staffing plans
  2. Drafting artifacts (document, brief, spreadsheet, etc.) as requested by the PM:  Under the direction of a PM, utilizing a template or current artifact as a base, draft new artifact(s).   Artifact specific guidance may also be available to support the development.  Artifacts will require one or more rounds of internal and external (beyond the sub-division) reviews.  This activity includes the editing, comment adjudication, and artifact finalization including version and quality control activities.
  3. Performing market research, analysis, and results reporting:  Under the direction of a PM, perform basic and targeted market research to answer a wide range of relevant questions as directed by a PM.  Data discovered while researching will be aggregated, analyzed, and the results documented for internal use and/or one or more reports, tables (spreadsheet(s)), and figures or graphics generated.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  •  A BS/BA and up to 3 years or an Associate’s and 4 years work experience
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  Proficiency with all Microsoft (MS) Office standard software
  •  Excellent proof reading, grammar, and spelling
  •  1+ years working within a human resources (HR) or program management office (PMO) providing good working knowledge of  hiring, job codes and classifications, and common HR  language and terminology – preferably in a Federal government environment

Desired:

  •  Proficiency with DHS specific environments
  •  Current DHS entry on duty (EOD)
  •  Familiarity with DHS specific hiring and other policies and guidance
  •  Familiarity with developing and maintaining organization charts
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Project
  •  Fully COVID vaccinated
