SAIC is actively seeking a Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support our customer onsite in Huntsville, AL. Engineer will assist in developing hypersonic threat defense architectures and associated vision, strategies, road maps, designs, and top-level requirements.  Candidate may also be involved in critical technology risk reduction activities including ground and flight test campaigns and lead efforts supporting the Hypersonic Defense Program Office. This is a Full Time Hybrid role that will requiring being onsite 4 days a week and 1 day virtual/remote.

Job Description:

• Develop and document architecture options, conduct/review architecture analysis, interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams that are implementing solutions, verify capability performance, interface and review science and technology activities, and develop briefings and present information at multiple levels from leadership personnel to functional teams, testing communities, and program managers.  
• Support critical technology risk reduction activities including ground and flight test campaigns.
• Candidate will be working with both MDA internal and external organizations (Congress, OMB, GAO, Pentagon, etc.) in the strategic development of hypersonic missile defense architectures (kinetic & non-kinetic). They will also be working as part of the Department of Defense which includes activities from initial problem definition to solution conceptualization.  

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Master's (STEM) degree
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Active Secret Clearance
• Demonstrated understanding of system of system architecture design, system architecture, and systems engineering
• Experience supporting government front office functions to include input to and coordination of technical and programmatic packages.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents
• Ability to create a positive, collaborative working relationship with representatives and stakeholders from internal and external organizations

Desired Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Experience writing and coordinating engineering and technology integration and migration strategies
• Experience with DoD systems and system-of-systems
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Experience successfully leading matrixed, geographically diverse technical product and engineering project teams
