We are seeking an experienced, Software Engineer to lead a fast-paced, agile team working on a program in support of national security objectives.
The Lead-Software Engineer/Agile Scrum Master is assigned to Team 2; there are four (4) teams. Typical duties include:
- As Scrum Master, improve team effectiveness by coaching team members, hosting daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and reviews. Act as a Servant Leader, supporting Team leadership to manage the Backlog, shield the team from outside interference, and remove obstacles to achieving commitments. Participate in Agile activities including “scrum of scrums.”
- Lead design and development from assigned user stories and specifications using Agile development methods. Ensure quality of all team outputs through adherence to standards, establishing quality metrics, code scans to code quality, managing technical debt, automated testing, vulnerabilities, open source license compliance, levying requirements for on-prem and cloud environments (dev, test, production, IDE and workbenches), and publishing outputs to dashboards.
- Mentor team members on Team domain, agile development practices, technical skills and modern practices, supporting team in design and test specifications. Supports FIP, AI/ML, and Graph data scientists in packaging, creating deployment scripts, and adding components to be built and tested in SecDevOps pipelines.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance; CI poly preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience
