We are looking for experienced, former FAA TRACON Air Traffic Controllers to join the SAIC team providing ATC training, instructional and SME services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.

To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities. 

Job Description:

Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Instructor and will be expected to travel, supporting ATC training requirements, primarily in PHL and focusing on the N90 Newark and PHL areas of expertise

Selected candidates will receive excellent pay and full TDY, including, airfare, rental car, lodging and daily per diem.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Candidates for these positions must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a FAA TRACON. This experience must have been at a TRACON equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC-10 facility.

US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired skills:

Candidates with N90 Newark area expertise, or PHL expertise are preferred.

 

COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees are required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy. All SAIC employees must be fully vaccinated and they must submit proof of vaccination on their first day of employment. Where work is performed strictly at a customer site, customer site vaccination requirements preempt SAIC's vaccination policy.
