Job Description


Join a winning team!  SAIC has an opening for a motivated and customer oriented Senior Enterprise Architect to provide leadership for a team responsible for developing a federated space test and training simulation environment for the United States Space Force in Colorado Springs, CO. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify and align requirements, derive system architecture and functional design, and identify associated risks to ensure products meet USSF digital test and training requirements
  • Lead the architecture efforts as the lead systems integrator of a multi-company program
  • Understand and apply USSF digital test and training strategy and architecture needed to support operational and strategic decision making
  • Leverage lessons learned of existing space and missile defense architectures and frameworks 
  • Develop architecture models that define a campaign plan for space digital test and training 
  • Identify critical architecture and system level requirements for space-network interoperability


Required Education/Skills:

Education: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; 4 years experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance: Must have an active Secret with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/poly

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the development and maintenance of architecture products using the Unified Architecture Framework Modeling Language (UAFML)
  • Experience in leading a team of architects and systems engineers working in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) using United Architecture Framework Profile (UAFP)  
  • Proven experience with technical fundamentals in an existing DoD program (e.g., air, missile defense, and space systems).  
  • Expert-level proficiency with use of architecture tool(s) to support senior-level enterprise decision making
  • Architecture domain understanding from a holistic, enterprise, perspective
  • Ability to recommend enterprise architecture tradeoffs, impacts, and advancements
  • Proven experience in the development and use of modeling for architecture solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Customer-focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Architect (e.g. UAFML, DoDAF, TOGAF, MODAF)
  • Cameo EA or similar Enterprise Architecture Tool set

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
