JOB DESCRIPTION

SAIC is looking is for a Cyber Operation Subject Matter .  This job requires a subject matter expert with a primary focus on cyberspace operations tools, techniques, procedures (TTP), course of action (COA) development, weaponeering, and capability gap identification.  A thorough understanding of how to employ operational cyber capabilities is required. The ability to translate complex, technical aspects of cyberspace operations for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in both written and verbal formats is equally essential.

Possess critical thinking, along with strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to brief senior level leaders and compose highly technical analytical products. This also includes the ability to translate complex, technical aspects of cyber into clear, concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.

• The successful applicant will serve as a subject matter expert with a primary focus on line-of-effort and course-of-action development, weaponeering, capability gap identification and offensive cyberspace operations TTPs. Synchronization of multiple capabilities across space, cyberspace and the electromagnetic spectrum to present optimum force package/playbook to combatant commanders and their staffs.

• Ability to act in a multi-faceted role, which includes the need for a basic understanding of analysis and operations planning.

• An understanding of how to employ cyber modelling and simulation techniques is desired.

• Review finished intelligence products and extract valuable targeting and system information.
• Research and explain various types of networking protocols and articulate their functionality.
• Perform vulnerability analysis on various system frameworks.
• Ability to understand how networks are engineered and analyze network data in an effort to discover network vulnerabilities.
• Understand complex business and information technology management processes.
• Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years of experience and knowledge of OCO/DCO techniquest, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and exploitation methods using manual testing techniques, scripts, commercial and open source tools.
• Bachelors degree or higher, with a technical engeineering or computer science focus wtih (15)  fifteen years of experience
• Experience in discovery and/or exploiting vulnerabilities in complex networks
• Experience with network reconnaissance and open source intelligence (OSINT) gathering.
• Experience with industry standards to include OWASP, NIST, and IEEE
• In-depth knowledge of wireless vulnerabilities penetration testing methods.
• Ability to read and analyze network packet captures.
• Experience with network security to include; firewall, router, and switch security
• Knowledge of security best practices: NIST, CIS, Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Microsoft, Unix/Linux, etc.
• Knowledge of security auditing techniques
• Knowledge of computer control environments
• Familiarity with querying and handling SIGINT.
