SAIC is seeking experienced logisticians to provide warehouse support within the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  SAIC has been a leader in innovation and support of test and evaluation (T&E) within TSA and the Department of Homeland Security missions since the inception of the agency in 2002.  SAIC is looking for motivated, self-starting warehouse logisticians to help progress and evolve TSA’s test and evaluation techniques while making an impact on the safety and security of traveler and officers alike. 

The position is on site, at a TSA location in Coppel, Texas.  The position is a full-time termed position for a period of nine (9) months, with the ability to extend pending customer approval.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, inventory, and store incoming test articles (material/equipment), as well as preparing test articles for shipments to remote test locations
  • Inspect test articles and equipment to ensure functionality, identify any broken equipment.  Perform basic maintenance and prep of equipment.  Document and report and discrepancies/ damages.
  • Test kit development- performing research, comparing options, ordering necessary materials, design and construction of test kit equipment to be used to verify inspection systems.  Basic engineering experience a plus.
  • Interface with customers and team to ensure any requirements are met to include quick turnaround and longterm planning.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and database of equipment to ensure quick processing and delivery of test articles to required locations.
  • Regularly performs inventory reconciliations & audits.
  • Work concurrently with management and provide status updates of current work in progress, equipment availability, and advise of any potential problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. 
  • Ability to handle several concurrent test schedules to ensure efficient movement of test kits both between test sites, and between test sites and warehouse.
  • Responsible for maintaining warehouse workspace and storage locations in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • HS and 1 years of experience
  • Able to safely lift 100 pounds
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain TSA Suitability
  • Work in-person at Coppel, Texas warehouse location
