SAIC is seeking a seasoned systems engineer with significant test and integration expertise to support the Space Systems Command's Special Programs Directorate, which equips the U.S. Space Force to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority.  Our Government system program office directs planning, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of a complex space control portfolio of the highest national priority.  Successful candidates will have significant DoD testing and test-oriented integration experience, excellent communication and team skills, and will be expected to continually balance work priorities to meet rapidly evolving customer needs and tight deadlines.  Well qualified candidates will be familiar with space warfighting, space command and control systems, DevSecOps and CI/CD efforts, and Scaled Agile software development.

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and oversee test and integration activities to enable operational acceptance of software applications including:
• • factory, Government-led developmental and operational, and enterprise system-of-systems test planning and strategy development;
  • factory, developmental, operational, and enterprise test coordination and leadership;
  • coordination among developers, Government, mission partners, stakeholders, and enterprise test organizations;
  • test documentation development and oversight on Scaled Agile software programs;
  • inform levels of manual and/or automated, feature, regression, acceptance, and smoke testing that should be required;
  • test-oriented systems integration, verification, and validation;
  • test results analysis, performance analysis, and concise reporting.
• Perform test-oriented project support to enable integration of space systems and sensors to a command and control enterprise.
• Coordinate Government and contractor test integration activities with interfacing mission partners, systems, sensors, and applications throughout the full life cycle.
• Provide technical support to Government and contractor reviews to track and assess progress, issues, requirements satisfaction, and traceability.

Qualifications

Required Edcuation and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant discipline and 14+ years of space systems integration and systems engineering; 12+ years of experience required for Master’s Degree; 9+ years for PhD

Required Clearance:

• Qualified applicants must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be either have or are willing to undergo polygraph examinations

Required Skills:

• Ability to work on complex technical problems and provide solutions in concert with Government acquisition strategies, polices and instructions
• Performs well given consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives
• Self-initiator who can identify and pursue courses of action and obtain results without instruction
• Communicates effectively and efficiently in oral and written form; able to brief problems/status and recommend solutions/strategies to senior management and leadership.
