We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our program to provide robust data management in the IC using industry best practices and support the customer’s mission through data discovery and sharing of new insights using existing and emerging technologies.   The Full Stack Developer will work closely with other technical SMEs and functional teams to understand use cases and requirements to explore data from various sources, then leverage appropriate tools and resources to make accurate data available to the users, and modify it to enable insights extraction to achieve desired customer deliverables.  Full Stack Developer will provide support to data ingestion, processing, and storage infrastructure and systems through data management, data ingest and conditioning, and data transport. This will include developing new systems to ingest data as well as operating and maintaining existing ones. This position further requires working with various mission stakeholders, communicating system features and concepts to other users and developers, and interacting with program management.

Responsibilities include:

• Determining the structure and design of user interfaces and developing features to enhance the user experience while maintaining brand consistency throughout the design;
• Building the front-end software for applications using UI/UX design principles and creating quality mockups and prototypes;
• Designing and developing effective APIs, client-side and server-side architecture;
• Collaborating with Sponsor to improve software usability, identify problems, and implement software solutions;
• Developing, managing, and monitoring Sponsor software using a suite of AWS or other cloud provider services;
• Engaging with Sponsor to gather and evaluate user feedback and build solutions;
• Ensuring software designs are in compliance with Sponsor specifications;
• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, and improve its performance;
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities or status;
• Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting for Sponsor review;
• Documenting processes, procedures, and code in Sponsor’s knowledge management system;
• Providing O&M support and improving existing Sponsor user interfaces and optimizing front-end software for maximum speed and scalability;
• Testing software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, and troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software as needed;
• Writing and implementing well designed, testable, and efficient code based on Sponsor’s specifications and needs;
• Verifying and deploying programs and systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.  Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in following:
  • Experience with two or more UI technologies:
    • Angular, JS, React, and Amber
  • Experience with two or more programming languages:
    • Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .NET
  • Extensive knowledge of the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) and significant experience with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries
  • Utilizing JAVA software development tools such as J2EE, JDBC, Web Services
  • SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON;
  • JavaScript, jQuery, HTML v.5, JDBC, and Apache Tomcat;
  • Oracle software development including triggers, functions, procedures, and packages using PL/SQL;
  • AWS services such as VPC, Auto Scaling, RDS, and Data pipeline;
  • Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework;
  • CI/CD pipeline 

Desired Qualifications:

• Analytic mindset, good problem solving skills, and attention to detail;
• Experience in cloud-based application development, including experience with Availability Zones and an understanding of the difference between on-demand and reserved instances;
• Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills;
• Previous experience working with business analytics.
