SAIC is looking for a Market Insights and Strategy Analyst to join our Corporate Strategy team. This individual will be a key member of the project execution team, responsible for analyzing Defense, Federal Civilian, and Intelligence customer markets. Key activities will include primary and secondary source research, analyzing budget / spending data and building market models, and helping our customer-facing Sectors and Business Units understand the key demand, technology, and customer trends impacting their business. The successful candidate will lead and support a wide range of research and analysis, leveraging open-source research and federal data including Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and Bloomberg Government (BGOV), as well as SAIC’s proprietary databases, to produce outputs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary source research from a wide variety of industry-standard open-source research tools (e.g., FPDS, BGOV, GovWin, DACIS)
- Develop an understanding of key trends, spending patterns, contract vehicles, and major opportunities across Defense, Federal Civil, and Intelligence customer markets, as well as specific market sub-segments (e.g., engineering, IT) within each customer market area
- Synthesize research and data into presentations for customer-facing Sectors and Business Units; serve as a leader and facilitator promoting a data-first and strategy-first culture of planning and analysis for near-term and long-term corporate and business planning
- Work with leaders and stakeholders from customer-facing Sectors and Business units to produce recommendations and implementation roadmaps in key market areas
- Connect market data and market insights to broader SAIC enterprise strategic goals and objectives, including the evolution of our customer and market portfolios
- Lead and support other ad-hoc market research and strategic planning initiatives as they arise and as directed by the corporate leadership
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant business, technical, or social sciences field of study
- 4+ years of experience in a professional services or market research firm
- Experience with federal government research tools, including BGOV, DACIS Infobase, GovWin, and Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), as well as with Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of one or more federal market verticals, including Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or Intelligence
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify trends in data, and link to implications for SAIC’s markets and business outlook
- A passion for research, modeling, and detailed data analysis – understanding the “so what!”
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and provide recommendations to senior audiences

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
