SAIC is seeking a Business Development Senior Principal for the SAIC USAF team. The successful candidate for this position will lead business development strategy, customer engagement and opportunity identification and qualification for various customer areas, working collaboratively with the National Security Group (NSG) Leadership Team, Business Developers and Capture Managers. 
Responsibilities:
  • Apply a strong understanding of USAF and its mission partners, to include leadership, organizational behavior, buying practices, major programs and industry positions, to develop and manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities.
  • Ability to assess organizational growth objectives and align them to defined opportunity targets to ensure a robust pipeline within the assigned portfolio area
  • Strong engagement skills and ability to communicate SAIC solutions and capability offerings to potential customers
  • Close interaction with DoDAC BU team members including operational leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans to position SAIC for successful pursuits
  • Lead strategic planning and positioning for USAF HQ opportunities, with emphasis on winning business by delivering differentiated capabilities from SAIC's extensive solutions portfolio.
  • Apply SAIC procedures and best practices to personally identify and qualify opportunities and thereby meet goals for pipeline sufficiency and quality.
  • Support post-qualification capture and proposal development for approved opportunities, particularly in the areas of customer engagement; teaming; and coordination with internal business development and sales resources. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Current knowledge of USAF mission partners, including existing customer and industry peer relationships. Understanding and experience with of Other Transaction Authorities (OTA's). Recent experience in AF/Joint arena is a major plus
  • Recent track record in identifying, capturing, and winning opportunities in excess of $100M.
  • Familiarity with Shipley Business Development process model
  • Outstanding verbal, writing, and inter-personal skills needed to communicate effectively and persuasively with personnel at all levels, both in customer spaces and within SAIC
  • Experience and understanding of command and control (C2) systems and processes in particular from an Air Force perspective
  • Business experience with DoD customers with focus on innovation and technology insertion; understanding of advancements in technology and revolutionary concepts that offer potential enhancements or breakthroughs in military capabilities
  • Current touchpoints with customers within INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, and SOUTHCOM and the Air Force as it relates to C2 and C5ISR
  • Background with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) tools and applications a plus
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Possess a current Top Secret clearance, SCI highly desirable.



Target salary range: $205,001 - $215,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
