JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualified individuals will support the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP). The support tasks include and are not limited to providing technical leadership for Non-kinetic Effects, space system resiliency concepts, system engineering, concept trade studies and assessments, and technical analysis of cyber-physical systems for SSDP.

SSDP functions as the center of excellence on options and strategies (materiel and non-materiel, cross Title 10/50, cross-domain) leading to a more resilient National Security Space (NSS) enterprise. The NKE Division specializes in identifying non-kinetic capabilities for NSS.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead technical direction and oversight of studies for the synthesis, analysis, feasibility, development, and assessment of non-kinetic space system resiliency concepts
• Integrate relevant viable technologies, CONOPS, and other systems that enable and enhance non-kinetic space system resiliency concepts
• Define technical content relating to project management to include (but not limited to): deliverables, schedules, and resources
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary project planning, coordination, and execution
• Coordinate with partner Program Management Office(s) (PMO) and industry

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• US citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance, cleared for compartmented information, and submission to polygraph evaluation
• Graduate-level degree in a relevant scientific/engineering field or demonstrated equivalent experience
• More than ten (10) years of experience (senior) of system or technology development
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical development teams
• Familiarity with engineering state-of-the-art/state-of-practice in space systems, spacecraft, payloads, and subsystems
• Experience with analytic methods, tools, and processes typical for pre-acquisition solution development
• Ability to develop, present, and communicate decision-quality information, briefings, and papers to division and program leadership
• Demonstrate problem solving skills, critical thinking, and be comfortable with complex and dynamic organizational environments
• Must be proficient with DoD and IC information security processes and procedures (e.g. document marking, information handling, information generation, and information facility operations)
• Previous experience with NSS and the NSS enterprise (Desired)
• Familiarity with engineering state-of-the-art/state-of-practice in cyber-physical systems (Desired)
• Previous experience working for, or in direct support of, acquisition program offices (Desired)
• Experience working with special access program information and in compartmented special access environments (Desired)
• Experience with developing or operating space and cyber warfighting capabilities (Desired)
