Senior Windows System Engineer

 

  • SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Windows System Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA, supporting the DISA-JSP customer.

 

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours’ onsite work to support both a NIPR and SIPR environment. This position is 100% onsite at the Pentagon.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Senior Windows System Engineer shall prove technical ability in the architecture,

deployment, and sustainment of a large complex physical and virtual server architecture and

various enterprise applications supported on the server infrastructure. This position requires

demonstrated direct experience with a variety of server and enterprise application architectures.

 

Required:

  • This position requires an active DOD Top Secret clearance.
  • Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work - IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH).  Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or at least five (5) years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated technical engineering capabilities.
  • Experience with and solid working knowledge of an enterprise ticketing system (REMEDY).
  • Experience with Active Directory (group policies (MS Office 2007 and higher preferred), which includes applying group permissions (deployment of and troubleshooting), and a good working knowledge of DNS/DHCP/WINS.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the following computer related areas: Networks, Servers, Storage Area Networks, and systems management; directory systems; Public Key Infrastructure, IT customer support and training; computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis and repair; technical writing; computer security; knowledge management; database administration, design and management; system maintenance; information technology project management; computer scripting; Information System Testing.
  • Knowledge of a range of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, blade server, virtualization, unified communications, collaboration tools, business intelligence systems, social networks tools, enterprise services bus.
  • Minimum three years of experience in computer system engineering; hardware and software analysis, system installation, integration, implementation, and system maintenance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff are required.
  • Experience in the utilization and maintenance of high level system designs, including architectural design documents, diagrams, project plans and milestones

 

 Desired:

  • Active DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification
  • CISSP desired
