JOB DESCRIPTION: Come be a part of the SAIC team in Fort Meade MD, where we help address the nation’s most pressing and complex challenges. SAIC works with our customers on missions that strengthen security and safety and protect the basic values of our society. We have an opening for a Sr Systems Engineer. Join a dedicated SAIC team providing innovative systems engineering support with our partner, to the Mission Customer.

Specifically, the successful engineer for this position will provides support, analysis, and research into complex technical problems and provides solutions which are innovative. Have extensive experience authoring system requirements and developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions. Will liaise with users to track additional requirements and features. Document interfaces between new and legacy systems and has documented experience with Transition and Decommission efforts. Have the ability to quickly understand and explain technical details, demonstrates excellent analytical skills, and has a good problem-solving attitude. Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Think independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills. Will also be expected to assist in designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs as well as in the development and implementation of test plans, procedures, traceability matrices, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions, and will be experienced with Jira and Confluence. Experience with Agile Scrum software development practices required; Scrum Master experience preferred. Proficiency with APIs and REST calls preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

-At least seven (7) years of experience as a systems engineer and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline is required.

-Experience with Agile Scrum software development practices required

-TS/SCI w/ FSP
