Description
SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense (MD) Architect in conducting assessments of MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities to drive development of potential system mitigations and architecture solutions to address those issues. Support coordination with other MDA organizations, Warfighter, and DoD to further define architecture-level sensor, weapon, and command & control mitigations to address MD architecture gaps. Assist in development of the MD future architecture and roadmap for integrating future capabilities, including advance concepts, into the MD architecture, and support development of MD architecture products such as architecture views, architecture documents, evolution plans and top-level requirements. This is a Full Time hybrid role with 4 days at the office in Huntsville, Alabama and 1 day remote/virtual.
Responsibilities:
- Participate on a team of architecture analysts, assigning analysis tasks and reviewing preliminary results prior to delivery to customer
- Assess MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level
- Support modeling & simulation efforts related to the above, including analysis efforts on DoD High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Support analysis plans, run M&S to execute the analysis plan, perform analysis on the results, prepare analysis reports, and providing reviews of analysis products
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM Field with 3+ years of experience
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Experience with MATLAB
- Understanding of the current MDS architecture
Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
