SAIC is seeking a candidate to support the Missile Defense (MD) Architect in conducting assessments of MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities to drive development of potential system mitigations and architecture solutions to address those issues. Support coordination with other MDA organizations, Warfighter, DoD and other external organizations to further define architecture-level sensor, weapon, and command & control mitigations to address MD architecture gaps. Assist in development of the MD future architecture and roadmap for integrating future capabilities, including advance concepts, into the MD architecture, and support development of MD architecture products such as architecture views, architecture documents, evolution plans and top-level requirements. 

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Assess MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level
  • Support modeling & simulation efforts related to the above, including analysis efforts on DoD High Performance Computing (HPC) 
  • Develop analysis plans, run M&S to execute the analysis plan, perform analysis on the results, prepare analysis reports, and mentor younger analysts.
  • Review and provide quality assurance of Team analysis products prior to delivery.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Master's degree and 12+ years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years experience in lieu of a Masters
  • Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Extensive knowledge of the current MDS architecture
  • Experience with MATLAB

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with application of modeling & simulation to defense architectures and HPC experience experience
  • Experience with Benchmark
  • MATLAB coding
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency

- Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
