Job Description

SAIC’s Corporate Strategy group works with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to define the corporation’s strategic priorities, build actionable strategies that incorporate insights from the competitive environment and market / spend data, and execute detailed action plans that advance progress toward our defined 3-year growth plan. The team’s analyses and outputs reach a diverse population ranging from SAIC’s full workforce, program managers, the ELT, the Board of Directors, and the investor community.

Our growing team is seeking to hire a Corporate Strategy analyst.  The successful candidate will contribute to a diverse set of work products in a dynamic, executive-facing environment. Representative responsibilities include supporting enterprise strategy development and implementation through research, synthesis of data, and development of executive-level materials using the MS Office suite. The successful candidate will work closely with leaders across the strategy, corporate development, finance, Innovation Factory teams, and market-facing parts of the company to drive near-term growth in context of long-term strategies while maintaining planning processes and execution governance. This team interacts directly with the company’s most senior leadership on a regular basis, and this role offers the opportunity to grow quickly and develop enterprise-leading skillsets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop quantitative (data, models) and qualitative (frameworks, presentations) materials for Corporate Strategy efforts and broader business reviews
  • Deliver storytelling and presentation skills that contextualize data and drive executive-level discussion and decision-making
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions, develop hypotheses and support data-driven analyses and executive presentation materials that define growth plans, actively engaging with colleagues across the company
  • Define and manage actionable implementation roadmaps that enable strategic planning, investment prioritization, and resource alignment
  • Assist in developing metrics / milestones that promote a culture of “iterative strategy” within organizations
  • Lead and support other ad-hoc strategic planning initiatives as they arise and as directed by the corporate leadership
  • Develop executive-level PowerPoint presentations and other written artifacts that require minimal revision
  • Shape strategic direction of the Corporate Strategy team itself, recommending analyses that the team will pursue to advance its purpose

  • Intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial thinking, flexibility, and a “one team” collaborative operating style
  • Bachelor of Science in business, engineering, or related field of study
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, which should include working with commercial consulting or  federally-focused businesses in delivering management consulting skillsets, either directly to a customer or in an internally-facing role
  • Proven track record of successful establishment and adoption of strategic planning processes, tools, and evolved culture of strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to manage complex analyses spanning quantitative and qualitative data, delivering executive-level insights with specific attention to synthesizing trends, and forecasts
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and grow corporate relationships among senior leaders
  • Proven ability to set guidelines, criteria, and best-in-class competencies for strategy development
  • Proven ability to engage with and successfully influence customers, corporate leadership, and industry peers
  • Expert proficiency in the use of business software, including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain advanced data models in MS Excel
  • A mix of consulting and corporate experience
  • Experience sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing Federal budget or spending data
  • Experience scoping and executing consulting services in the federal market

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
